Our Story
A butterfly is a survivor that learned to fly.

Butterfly of Hope began at a kitchen table, with one chipped mug, one bar of lavender soap, and a list of names.
The names were of women we knew, or had read about, or had only ever heard whispered about — women who had loved someone who hurt them. Some had left. Some were still inside it. Some did not get out alive.
We could not bring them flowers every day. So we made soap shaped like flowers, so they could be held every day. A rose for the one who finally chose herself. Lavender for the first night she slept without listening for footsteps. A forget-me-not for the ones we lost.
Each bar is poured by hand in small batches, plant-based, gently scented. And 15% of every sale goes directly to local shelters, legal aid, and long-term recovery programs.
Soap is a small thing. So is a flower. So is a butterfly. But small, repeated, daily acts are how survival actually looks.
Every bar carries the imprint of the hands that made it and the names it remembers.
The studio is small — a converted sunroom with wooden drying racks, bundles of dried lavender hanging from the rafters, and molds lined up like a garden in waiting. Each soap is mixed, poured, cut, and stamped by hand. No two bars are exactly alike, just as no two survivors walk the same path.
We work in small batches because quality matters, but also because slowness is part of the point. This work is not about volume. It is about intention. About holding space.
